SN74HC595N Shift Register IC (pack of 2)

The 74HC595 is an 8-bit Serial-In Parallel-Out Shift Register of the 74HC family of logic ICs. It has features of extremely low power consumption and high current drive. It has a tri-state output desirable in many applications.

It is useful for controlling multiple devices or switches at a time and therefore is often used by microcontroller hobbyists to extend the number of GPIO pins. It also works great for driving of LED matrices and displays.
