Infrared (IR) Remote Control

Infrared remote signalling is a low-cost and popular means of wireless communication between devices and appliances. This IR remote control sends a specific sequence of  standard modulated 38kHz IR pulses for each button press. This can then be demodulated by an infrared remote receiver and interpreted by a microcontroller. It can be used in projects for activating circuits and devices or even for remote controlling of robot cars!
